Functional Substances:
- KARITE BUTTER: Rich in triglycerides, it has emollient, moisturizing and regenerating properties of the skin barrier; it gives the skin firmness and elasticity and has an antioxidant action given by the vitamin E it contains.
- ALOE VERA GEL: consisting of polysaccharides containing D-glucose and D-mannose, phytosterols, vitamins, enzymes, trace elements and amino acids. Aloe juice acts mainly as a skin moisturizer and soother, and its gel forms a protective film on the skin, which enables it to perform the moisturizing function. Healing, soothing and de-reddening properties are also attributed to Aloe.
- POPPY FLOWERS: Main constituents of the petals are isoquinolic alkaloids (0.7 percent) of which roeadine (tetrahydrobenzazepine) is the majority, which have been attributed sedative, emollient and analgesic properties.
- OLIVE OIL / OLIVE BUTTER / OLIVE FRUIT EXTRACT: Rich in fatty acids, it has a protective, anti-wrinkle function, stimulating the skin's reparative processes. Due to the presence of vitamin E and carotenoids, it has antioxidant properties preventing the effects of aging. It deeply nourishes the skin and regulates its natural hydration system.
- GLYCERIN: humectant, retains water in the epidermis reducing dehydration.
- HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT HYALURONIC ACID: It performs a structural function due to its ability to bind numerous water molecules; in fact, it contributes to the maintenance of an elastic and hydrated skin. Since it is a large molecule, it cannot penetrate through the epidermis; in fact, it remains on its surface forming a film that reduces TEWL while maintaining the right degree of hydration.
- SUNFLOWER OIL: It is extracted from the seeds of the sunflower, is rich in oleic acid, and contains a high content of vitamins A, D, and E. The oil also contains lecithin and unsaturated fatty acids, making it a nutrient. Sunflower oil is generally used as an emollient.
- TOCOPHEROL: Vitamin E and its esters possess high antioxidant activity, as they are able to dampen the reactivity of free radicals, blocking the cascade of events that result in oxidative stress, which causes cell damage.
